Item #1 has been declined. The reason is the <rich:subTable> tag inside a <rich:scrollableDataTable> do not throw any exception in RichFaces and its validator does not produce any warning.
Item #3b has been declined. It is impossible to do without using of JavaScript, but JavaScript is not supported by VPE.
