After browsing through the ArchivesBuildDelegate, I realized there are use cases where the node *will* be null and thus the simple null-check in the ArchivesUIBuildListener is in fact acceptable. 

Specific cases are where a project which is not registered or does not have any archives and yet is being asked to be built by the Archives Builder. This should never happen. 

I believe this is actually a duplicate manifestation of JBIDE-3015, or before that JBIDE-2796.
