I'm not disagree it is minor, Im just reopening since

a) couldnt the validation wait to occur after the user finished typing ? (i.e. after leaving the field or at least wait a few miliseconds before applying the value after the user stopped typing?

b) bringing up an error dialog with no context information at all is not ok - at a minimum tell which field and what value is problematic and optimally what is expected/valid
