Denis Golovin commented on JBIDE-3874:
--------------------------------------

I would provide a way to generate JBossTools Seam Project Configuration for Seam Maven projects in WAR/EAR configuration. It can be implemented as maven-eclipse-plugin extension. That would give an opportunity to adapt seam maven projects to JBossTools Seam projects in eclipse. As soon as we have it creating seam maven project in eclipse is two step operation: creating maven seam project based on archetype and generating JBossTools Seam project configuration.
Also would be good to support projects created with previous versions of JBossTools and provide a way to generate pom.xml for them.

> It is time to make sure our stuff works well with Maven, at least to the extent that the underline runtimes support it.
> First shot would be to add an adapter that allows m2eclipse controlled projects to activate the seam features.
> That would allow us still to bundle JBoss Tools without any dependencies to m2eclipse which still seem to drag in non-compatible plugins which we need to look into before tying us to m2eclipse.
