Support of 2.2 should include support of schemas in our diagram and form editors. I implemented it for 3.1.0.M3, see https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-4811, that is a lot of changes and I am not sure it is safe to merge to 3.0.x. 
So, maybe we change fix version of this issue to 3.1.0.M3?
