The document http://www.redhat.com/docs/en-US/JBoss_Developer_Studio/2.1/as/html_single/index.html#tptp_support tells you how add tptp support to JBDS but is missing the bit about installing  the JBoss TPTP Profile feature.

This is required as JBDS does not contain this feature.
Without the JBoss TPTP feature TPTP may not work.
