I've noticed when creating an expression, you can only select XPATH 1.0, I believe XPATH 2 is supposed to also be an option.  From the Riftsaw quickstarts, if I open one of them, they have XPATH 2 selected because they were created by hand and have XPATH 2.0 specified in the *.bpel file.
