Maybe you have a broken build? Len had a similar problem with http://reports.qa.atl.jboss.com/binaries/RHDS/builds/release/3.0.0.RC1/200912042231/ .
I can normally export an ESB file with http://reports.qa.atl.jboss.com/binaries/RHDS/builds/nightly/3.0.0.RC1/200912111227/ .
No problem with JBossTools-Update-3.1.0.v200912130340N-H52-GA.zip either.
