Attached is a sticker design I did on the weekend based on r3v1, but using these fonts:

DejaVu Sans 89px #32689b
DejaVu Sans Bold 89px #32689b

+1 for r4v1c (Option 3)

As to colour variants...

* the reds are too close to JBDS branding 
* the orange (which admittedly was my suggestion) doesn't work for me
* option 5 is even more washed-out than option 1
* options 6-7 look too cartoonish with the oval behind the wrench. (Images of Speed Racer somehow come to mind.)

So, short of making r4v2a (Option 1) DARKER so it's closer to the jboss.org navy (eg., #4a5d73 vs. #32689b), my vote's for:

 r4v2a or r4v1c, as they're the same design. :)
