Yes, I'm sure. JBoss Tools does not validate Java Script. And we don't have such error messages.
Seems to be a bug of WTP JavaScript Validator.
And I can reproduce it in WTP 3.0.0 But there is not any error marker on a resource and problems view. There is a marker in HTML editor only. So maybe you did not notice that bug there because of it.
