I've added Kris and John as watchers so we can move the discussion we have had in offline email to here instead.

Kris would the suggested patch be ok for you, or maybe something like that could be done as an extension point ? i.e. a droolsruntimerecognizer or something which would be asked before the default fallback of including everything ? If the recognizer returns null you will ignore it.

This does not solve the problem if the server runtime changes location, but it will get the job done at least and the recognizing would still work in your UI I presume.
