Yes, we have such opportunity.

Since Eclipse 3.3 there is splash handler which can provide additional functionality with splash

I wrote splash handler, put version property in plugin.properties file

It works

But version number appears not immediatly, it appears just befor progress started (3-4 sec. after splash appearing in my computer)

If it is not a problem I can commit these changes to SVN

Should I do it?
