Pete, we use components.xml from seam-gen. So if user uses Seam 2.1.1GA Runtime then we just copy <Seam 2.1.1GA_Home>/seam-gen/resources/WEB-INF/components.xml as template.
The problem only exists for users who tried to use Seam 2.0 (<Seam 2.0_Home>/seam-gen/resources/WEB-INF/components.xml) with JBoss AS 5.0. So it's not a JBossTools' issue.
