I've got Subversive installed on the macosx version mentioned above , I got the exact same error message at first but as a workaround I enabled  'classic updates' under capabilities (You then have two sofware updates entries under help one with a sub menu - thats the old one) and using the old update method to install subversive , I then switched back to the new software updates to install the connectors.
