1. Clean install of Eclipse J2EE package for Ganymede SR1
2. Clean install of JBT 3.0 CR2 build into "Dropins" folder
3. Start Eclipse, at Welcome screen go to workbench
*Do not open any JBoss perspective; leave default Eclipse perspective open*
4. Attempt to open preference pages for many (if not all) JBoss tools examples include (but not limited to):
  - JBoss ESB Runtimes
  - JBoss Portlet
  - Web --> Seam
5. A dialog complaining about invalid values in the preference page appears, and the selected preference page does not open
6. Close the Preferences dialog
7. Open the JBoss AS perspective
8. Try again to open the JBoss preference pages, and observe that the previous error does not occur

Will happen when a user attempts to set up run time environments the first thing after installing JBT.
