JBoss EAP Runtime 4.3. is used when creating JBoss AS within the EAP, SOA-P and EPP distribution. 
I have tested it with the application_platforms.properties file:

server3=jboss-soa-p.4.3.0,SOA-P,4.3,E\:\\jboss-soa-p.4.3.0

server1=jboss-epp-4.3,EPP,4.3,E\:\\jboss-epp-4.3

The EPP type has been added manually. Currently JBDS recognize EPP as EAP.

The attached screenshot shows created servers and runtimes.
