The names are created in the following way:

1) server4=jboss-4.2.3.GA,AS,4.2,E\:\\jboss-4.2.3.GA

Server name:  JBoss Application Server 4.2 - jboss-4.2.3.GA; 'jboss-4.2.3.GA' is the first field in application_platform.properties 
Runtime name: JBoss 4.2 Runtime
Runtime type: JBoss 4.2 Runtime

2) server3=jboss-soa-p.4.3.0,SOA-P,4.3,E\:\\jboss-soa-p.4.3.0

Server name:  JBoss SOA Server 4.3 - jboss-soa-p.4.3.0
Runtime name: JBoss EAP Runtime 4.3-SOA-P-jboss-soa-p.4.3.0
Runtime type: JBoss EAP 4.3 Runtime

3) server2=jboss-eap,EAP,4.3,E\:\\jboss-eap

Server name:  JBoss EAP Server 4.3 - jboss-eap
Runtime name: JBoss EAP Runtime 4.3 - jboss-eap
Runtime type: JBoss EAP 4.3 Runtime


4) server1=jboss-epp-4.3,EPP,4.3,E\:\\jboss-epp-4.3

Server name:  JBoss EPP Server 4.3 - jboss-epp-4.3
Runtime name: JBoss EPP Runtime 4.3 - EPP-jboss-epp-4.3
Runtime type: JBoss EAP 4.3 Runtime

The server type AS (1) uses the "JBoss 4.2 Runtime" runtime type, the others (SOA,EAP i EPP) use JBoss EAP 4.3 Runtime.
