I spent an hour making a patch for this last friday to add the publish-on-build to upstream wtp code. [1] However, I came to  realize there may in fact be a bug in the AutoBuildJob which makes listening to these events absolutely useless[2]. 

So... basically the work is done, we just need eclipse to accept it. Feel free to go vote on these two bugs if you really want this feature.
