Best to read spec to validate and then check with code in refimpl:

org.jboss.webbeans.bean for methods with check* or init* to find examples.

TCK:
 look for *Broken* to find examples of source files andExpectedDeploymentException

TCK can be used as a Test case for the validator showing errors.
