1. Start w/ a fresh Eclipse 3.5 SDK
2. Download http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/repository.jboss.org/eclipse/galileo/m2eclipse_0.9.9.200906081351.zip
3. Unpack m2eclipse zip into eclipse/dropins
4. Launch eclipse 3.5
5. Help > Install new software > add > archive > JBossTools-Update-3.1.0.M2-N200907081930-H350.zip
6. Pick Maven feature
7. Install
8. Check eclipse/plugins dir
9. The following plugins are installed (among others):
       org.jboss.tools.maven.core_1.0.0.M2-N200907081930-H350.jar
       org.jboss.tools.maven.ui_1.0.0.M2-N200907081930-H350.jar
       org.jboss.tools.maven.seam_1.0.0.M2-N200907081930-H350.jar

10. Check eclipse/features dir:
