Shaun Appleton commented on JBDS-744:
-------------------------------------

> What validation are we talking about here ?

All those that allow validiation to be turned off on a per folder basis.
i.e the following in Windows -> Preferences -> Validation

DTD Validation
HTML Syntax Validation
JavaScript Syntax Validation
JSF Application Context Validator
JSF View Validator
JSP Content Validator
JSP Content Validator
WSDL Validator

The request is to turn off validaton on a per folder basis but approach it starting from folder rather than starting at the validator.
ie. select a folder and turn these validators off
rather
than select a validator and don't do validation on these folders (the current way).

> User would like the validation to be able to be turned off on a per folder basis.
> Currently, if you wish to turn validations off you have to go to each validator and ensure that folder is ignored.
> If you wish to turn off Java compiler warnings on a per folder basis you can't - it has to be done on a project basis.
> This could be useful if there is a build folder in every project that the validator does not like.
