I've just tested. Results:

The publish goes through, the file is created properly. A warning is logged to teh SERVER LOG (right-click on your server, show in -> server log). This is a warning message with the following:

JBossTools was unable to pause the JBoss deployment scanner. For optimal performance, verify your version includes an unsecured JMX RMI adaptor

However even looking back at a previous version of this class, the previous version did not even attempt to turn off the deployment scanner at all if the jboss version was 5.0. Which means this error never should happen. 

Either way, I'm closing as out of date because there have been changes since then and I have just tested the new behaviour to verify it logs to the server log but does not impede the publish or annoy the user with a dialog.
