for reproduce this for test case you should use rather big db with long update time.
ceate console config for this db and create hibernate.reveng.xml in Hiberanete Reverse engineering editor;
For console config tree open Database and while it is pending, refresh Database schema for Table filters in Hiberanete Reverse engineering editor.
you'll never get results - only restart eclipse will help.
