Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-3211:
--------------------------------------------

File > Export > Preferences

Same is available under File > Import.

Everything that is stored in Eclipse preferences will be imported/exported by this. That works great for workspace wide information.

If the settings we put in this IResource set/get persistentPRoperty are portable why aren't we just storing them in project preferences which end up in .settings ? No need to invent something "externally"

p.s. if we are going to change this lets make sure old projects metadata gets migrated so users won't get affected badly by it (or at least evaluate which settings that will be affected and see if it is worth it or not)

> If I create a project with settings using Page Design Options in one WorkSpace and when import it to another WorkSpace I lose all data from options. It's not comfortable to print all settings again manually.
