Build project operation (including the validation) in my environment for a Seam WAR project with 6 files (each of size about 30K, containing various number of errors) takes about 40 seconds with XHTML Syntax Validator enabled, while it takes about 15 seconds to build and validate with XHTML Syntax Validator disabled.

So, the build and validation process with XHTML Validator enabled at least twice logner.

We'll see what we can make to decrease time of validation.
