Thanks Juergen - the *big* issue I have with tying us to ProfileService is:

1) "..however this API has changed a little bit between 5.0 and 5.1"
2) API requires "undefined" set of jars on the classpath (AS team it self won't yet tell me which set of jars to use ;)
3) It passes around serializable objects which are not guaranteed to work across versions meaning we would need both to compile and bundle against all versions of AS 

We are talking with AS team to add in support for profile service to be better defined, portable and accessible but if you got ideas/suggestions to fix above lets hear them!
