This feature can be implemented also for tree selectors editing 

'to-view-id' and 'from-view-id' in faces-config.xml;
'view-id' in pages.xml;
'location' of <error-page> in web.xml;
etc.

It is not hard to implement and can be done for version 3.1.0.
