you dont use hibernate tools configurationf or this ? how come ? This will make it necessary to duplicate the logic...

You don't have to ask the user about any console configuration info, just use a default one - but if you want the generation to be correct in context of db and naming strategy using hibernate tools for the generation will be much simpler.
