Consider using div with absolute positioning and border:
1. It should be added in init.htm and hidden by default
2. Add insets to to init.html body tag to make selection visible in case of it has width/height=100% (optional)
3. Make border size, color and transparency(Optional) adjustable through Visual Editor preferences (optional)
