Linking has been only done for out-of-the-box actions. Suppose, a customer creates his own action CustomSmooksAction, and derives it from SmooksAction, so that it has 'smooksConfig' property. In this case editor will show it exactly as in the attached esb-smooks-res1.jpg. 
Hence, my question is even more general than about 'smooksConfig': should editor support reusing by custom actions some properties of out-of-the box actions by providing for these properties the same behavior (browser, linking to editors, content assist, etc.)? In this case, editor form for custom action will be still generic, and properties like 'smooksConfig' will be displayed in tree as child nodes, but field editor form for 'value' of such a property when it is selected in tree will be specific, borrowed from property of that name in an out-of-the-box action editor form.
Or, there is no need for extending out-of-the-box actions, so that such a feature would be of little use?
