That's perfect Dart.... I'm referring to a different issue... 

I think we need to pass an additional parameter to the TemplateBuilder.addValueMapping() method, indicating the type of the source property being mapped.  The template builder can then use that info when building the template, to add FreeMarker built-in directives to the variables.
