John Doyle commented on JBIDE-6347:
-----------------------------------

There is a Teiid dialect for hibernate. It's in the teiid download and the jar is called teiid-hibernate-dialect-<teiid-version>.jar.

Currently Teiid appears as a first class source in Hibernate tools, but it doesn't work without some hackery. This probably needs another Jira. The Teiid dialect is not delivered with Hibernate, and will not be for the foreseeable future becuse Teiid does not support DDL, and cannot pass the Hibernate tests. So currently in order to get the teiid dialect to work in JBoss Tools, you need to hack the eclipse classpath. There may be another way, but that's the best I could find. Perhaps the Hibernate tools needs to offer the capability to extend the hibernaate classpath with jars that you select.

I am not familiar with the SEAM tools. Does getting the hibernate tools working with the teiid dialect buy us SEAM tooling?
