Jeff DeLong commented on JBIDE-6748:
------------------------------------

I notice a few related issues with the Assign copy operations. The initializer creates a Copy from a Fixed Value to a Variable. In cases like complex message types, as well as it appears with elements with attributes, the fixed value is not sufficient to initialize the variable, and an Assignment Fault is thrown at runtime. When I try to hand edit the XML in the Fixed Value entry field, sometimes (!) after I edit the field, the source file is not updated, and the file cannot be saved.
