So are you suggesting we use Maven to do your rm -rf, too?

ANYWAY, the point of the shell script is that it can do way more than Maven can. You have specifically asked me to reorg the output from Maven into a format that looks like last year's dir structure on download.jboss.org. Maven isn't that adept. It's not just a matter of rsync'ing files with --delete, it's a matter of renaming and moving them, as well as unpacking zips. 

To solve the issue mentioned in (b), you can just wipe the workspace by hand. It's not like we change XulRunner versions every week. :)

I agree with your that having everything in a single language (Maven) would be ideal, but it's never that simple.
