you need to add update sites:
http://m2eclipse.sonatype.org/sites/m2e/ 
http://m2eclipse.sonatype.org/sites/m2e-extras/
or enable them in Install/Update->Available Software preferences

make sure you have selected "Contact all update sites during install to find required software" in the bottom of update dialog
