    Workaround Description: 
1) close the (instance- or image-) view
2) reopen it (ctrl+3)

        Steps to Reproduce: 
1) start with an empty workspace aka no cloud connections
2) make sure you have instance- or image-view visible
3) see that the combo in the (instance- or image-) view is very small - since there's no name to display
4) create new connection 
5) check the combo in the view again

Result:
The combo has still the same small size, but popping it up shows you that it really has a cloud

Result:
The combo shall resize to the size needed to display the current cloud
