Cannot reproduce on Fedora 12 w/ OpenJDK 6.

$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_18"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.8.2) (fedora-41.1.8.2.fc12-i386)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 14.0-b16, mixed mode)

Installed using this:

$ java -jar jbdevstudio-linux-gtk-4.0.0.v201012050623R-H30-Beta2.jar

Shortcut is created and works (as demonstrated by the splash screen and prompt for workspace path shown).
