Vitali Yemialyanchyk commented on JBIDE-7867:
---------------------------------------------

my proposition to use this dialog as a way to fill properties value for default, i.e. something like fill properties values and further use it when drop tag into the view; but do not show the dialog every time after click or even try to drop tag on the view...
I propose something like this:
double click on Palette item - show this dialog with possibility to edit values by default for the tag;
one click select item with possibility to drop it into VPE like WPE does, and possibility to scroll and select other tag;

"Don't show this dialog again" - this option also suitable, but it should work for ALL TAGS, not just for particular selected one...

> there is no sense in this dialog for normal edit process.
> normal behavior is insert item with all properties by default and then edit this properties in properties view.
> for old users who like this option my recommendation add this as configurable option in Preferences dialog,
> add checkbox "Show "Insert Tag" dialog before drop tag on editor" and mark this unchecked by default.
> IMO, this option will be useless for all, i.e. it is possible to remove this dialog without some loss of functionality.
