Denis Golovin commented on JBDS-1329:
-------------------------------------
Admin rights are required in order to provide support for access to windows registry and have JBDS-676 fixed.
I'll try to figure out if there is a way to disable registering using command line parameters. This would let users without admin right install JBDS without registering it windows registry.

> Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: installer
> Affects Versions: 4.0.0.M2
> Environment: x86_64, Windows 7 Ultimate

> Fix For: 4.0.0.CR1

> When I run installer by running 'java -jar devstudio-XXX-.jar' windows asks me for password of an admin account (which I do not know). I have permissions to write to my Documents folder (I was about to install JBDS there) or directly to C:
> I think this issue is very similar to JBDS-1317 (see 2nd screenshot). If I try to run installer with checked 'Protect my computer data ...' it finishes without saying nothing.
> I am not sure if we are able to fix this
