there are now 2 different actions:

"Launch instance" which only launches the actions but does not show it up in the Remote System explorer
"Show in remote system explorer" which is available on instances in the instances view

In your opinion "Launch instance" should show up the RSE?
I think we should move this to a new issue then since the initial issue here's now fixed. Please open a new issue if you think that "Launch instance" should show up the RSE. At least I think that "show in remote system explorer" should also be available in the cloud view.
