Nick, #1 and #2 are just personal preferences, right ? Not something that is required to remove, correct ? We have many plugins that uses embedded jars simply because we don't have a modular build that allows for externalizing it OR because its just not how it were done originally.

Should that be changed ? of course - but is it a requirement for this ?
