I think to complete this task we needed:
#1 describe in this guide that for proper work of CA and VPE now needed kbnature and kbbuilder for project which has been created early. There exist an dialog which will remind user about it(see JBIDE-5701)
#2 may be couple words about maven projects, early as  I understand was possible use it's project using mvn eclipse:eclipse and without m2eclipse. Now better to use m2eclipse.
#3 early was required libstdc++ for correct work VPE. Now this library not required and can be removed from system.
#4 also it will be good to review a jboos forum to find with which problems has occurred users during migration from one version jboss tools to another.
#5 there was issue when during update was broken XR(https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-5779), it can be written in guide too.
#6 create couple project using old version of studio(seam, jsf, bpel) try to run this projects on server and repeat  actions after update to new version of studio at the same workspace and projects.
