Thanks Igor, I agree with your points and we should start looking at bringing VPE to the "next level" within the limits of what we can do via XulRunner.

Creation of table should be better, I completely agree and I think just making insertion of rich:datatable be defaulting to something like a 3x1 table instead of the current behavior would be going a long way. 

darg'n'drop might require more magic to make work properly.
