Can we rank our completions higher so they show up before the JDT provided annotation completions ? If yes, then I think it would be worth exploring providing better icons, completions and 
descriptions for them. 

About "mixing" up ocmpletions, what we can do is put our CDI completions in a different completion category (you can shift through these by pressing Ctrl+space multiple times)

Then users can choose to have these separate or merged in.
