The node is not doubled. It is the extension for Project Explorer that makes it possible to be used as/instead of Web Projects view. A child node is created with the sub-structure that is presented in Web Projects View, including sections 'Tag Libraries', 'Resource Bundles', etc.. That extension for Project Explorer remains unchanged since its implementation, nothing degraded in the latest versions. The child node is considered necessary, because otherwise our specific sections would mix on the same level with project members messing it up.
