I'm not sure what this spring-ext-3.0.xsd is for but it does not exist at that http location and it seems they explicitly bundle it in the example to make it validate.

Therefore there really aren't anything we can do to automatically fix this beyond telling users to setup an XCatalog entry for such special cases.

I've added a screenshot on how to do this in Eclipse preferences under XCatalog
