Max Rydahl Andersen updated JBIDE-6079:
---------------------------------------

    Fix Version/s: 3.1.x
                   3.2.next
         Assignee: Feng Qian

You guys are mixing up different issues here ;)

1) It is *excellent* that the wizard is listening to the current selection - if it didn't you would have to type/select too much compared to have it filled in automatically.

2) Creating the web service should IMO be possible on a Java project, but it should show a warning that it might not work if the project is not a dynamic web project. That is what we do for portal and seam artifact wizards. That gives best of two worlds imo.

If that for some reason is not possible then yes, it should be showing a warning.

Grid, you wrote you did some easy fix - what is that ? Looks like it is now saying "not correct project", correct ?

could you create patch for 3.1.x and attach ?

> When I create Jboss Tools->Sample Web Service and the only project in my workspace is classic java project, errors in log appear
> 1. Use clean workspace
> 2. Create 'Java Project'
> 3. Try to create 'Jboss Tools->Sample Web Service' by selecting it in tree.
> 4. Errors in log appear and you can't even click "Next >'
> Truth is, that maybe it does not make real sense, to create web service in Java Project, but this should not happen. I'll attach log
