The bug underlying this issue was that eclipse updates could break existing Teiid preview connections.  I've created JBIDE-7493 to cover that part of the issue.

The remaining part of this issue, that the Admin connections should be abstracted behind a configurable runtime will be retargeted.  While I still consider this a worthwhile goal, implementing it as this time will not provide the long term benefits we want beyond what we already have, such as compatibility with future versions of Teiid, and adds risk.
