    Steps to Reproduce: 
exemplary usecase: 

1) create a connection (cloud) that has invalid credentials
2) get back to cloud view
3) try to list its images/instances

result:
The list just stays empty, exceptions are thrown in the log

Expected result:
The user must be informed of what's wrong so that he gets a chance to react.


another usecase:
1) make sure you have a connection with bogus credentails
2) restart the client

result:
The cloud does not show up

Expected result:
The cloud shows up and the user is informed of what's wrong with that cloud.
