Semantics of WTp state that "remove" removes the module from the list of running modules, and on the next publish event, it will also remove the module from the server. 

If you do not have autopublish enabled, it will not remove the module from the deploy folder until the next publish event, which you can trigger in the view by clicking on teh publish icon at the top of the view.
